Well, Good For You I Guess You Moved On Really Easilly
You Found A New Girl And It Only Took A Couple Weeks
Remember When You Said That
You Wanted To Give Me The World ? (AH-AH-AH-AH)
And Good For You, I Guess That You've Been Done Working On Yourself
I Guess That The Rapist I Found For You
She Really Helped
Now You Can Be A Better Man For Your Brand New Girl
Well, Good For You, You Look Happy And Healthy
Not Me, If You Ever Cared To Ask
Good For You You're Do In Great Out There Without Me
Baby Good I Wish That I Could Do That
I Lost My Mind, I've Spent The Night
Crying On The Floor Of My Bathroom
But You're So Unaffected, I Really Don't
Get It
But I Guess Good For You
Well, Good For You, I Guess You're Getting Everything You Want
You Brought A New Car And Your Careers Really Taking' Off
It's Like We Never Even Happened
Baby, What The Fuck Is Up With That ?
(HUH ?)
And Good For You, It's Like You Never Even Met Me
Remember When You Swore To God I Was The Only
Person Who Ever Got You? We'll Screw That, And Screw You
You Will Never Have To Hurt The Way You Know That I Do
Well Good For You, You Look Happy And Healthy
Not Me If You Ever Cared To Ask
Good For You, You're Great Out There Without Me
Baby Good, I Wish I could Do That
I've Lost My Mind, I,ve Spent The Night
Crying On The Floor Of My Bathroom
But You're So Unaffected, I Really Don't Get It
But I Guess Good For You
Maybe I'm Too Emotional
But Your Apathy's Like A Wound In Salt
Maybe I'm Too Emotional
Or Maybe You Never Cried At All
Well Good For You, I Guess You Moved On Really Easilly
You Found A New Girl And It Only Took A Couple of Weeks
Well For You, You Look Happy And Healthy
Not Me If You Ever Cared To Ask
Good For You, You're Doing Great Out There Without Me
Baby, God I Wish That I Could Do That
I Have Lost My Mind, I've Spent The Night
Crying On The Floor Of My Bathroom
But You're So Unaffected, I Really Don't Get It
But I Guess Good For You
Well Good For You, I Guess You Moved On Really Easilly
Song Details :
good 4 u” is the third single from Olivia Rodrigo’s debut studio album, SOUR. The song’s hook is laced with sarcasm, as Olivia sharply addresses her former partner for quickly moving on from their relationship without much of an issue or any care towards her at all. Like with her previous single, "deja vu,"Olivia again experiments musically, this time using drums and a guitar as primary instruments to emphasize her anger building up as the song progresses. Its angsty, pop-rock sound has drawn comparison to 2000s acts like Paramore and Avail Lavigne
In the music video. Olivia plays a high school cheerleader who is feeling distraught and vindictive over her former partner. She purchases a container of gasoline from a convenience store and appears to destroy her ex’s bedroom, setting it ablaze and causing it to flood. In the final shot, Olivia submerges herself into a lake with glowing red eyes—a subtle homage to the 2009 cult classic Jennifer ’s Body in which Jennifer stares into the camera with bloodshot eyes while swimming in a lake.
Olivia first teased the song and its music video on April 26, 2021, by posting an Instagram photo showing her dressed as a cheerleader. On May 9, 2021, the song was revealed to be her next single in SOUR’s album trailer shown at theatrical screenings of In The Heights. The next day, its release was officially announced by Olivia on Instagram.
